Looking through all MK7 manual gearboxes there are two oils listed, a “basic grade” which is based on MQ number, i.e. an MQ250 basic grade oil is part No.:-G 052 512 A2 (A2 designates quantity of 1lt bottle), & a different part number to a MQ350 basic grade oil.

As for sticking with OEM and not one of those metal aftermarket ones. The lower half is still plastic and using a metal filter cap can actually weld it together. Plenty of guys found out the hard way on forums and groups. Buy the proper filter housing socket too.
