I need a refresher on how to launch a non-OR game. I have Steam VR installed. On the OR, I have "unknown sources" enabled, and have it all calibrated. Just want to know if you enable Steam VR, and then launch Alyx (game) in Steam, will you see a prompt in the OR library of any kind, or if you simply start Alyx, will the OR headset start

the index has zero battery life though and costs over 3 times more even if you bought a elite strap for the quest 2. And correct me if I'm wrong here. but Valve has killed support for every hardware they worked on either in house or with partners. steam link, steam controller, steam machines, HTC VIVE partnership IIRC.

In fact, as of January 2022, 40% of SteamVR users use Quest 2 as their desktop VR headset, more than all other non-Oculus VR headsets combined (25% use other Oculus headsets such as Rift S, Rift CV1 and Quest, while the remaining 35% use non-Oculus headsets such as Valve Index, Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, etc.).
